1. Wallace Proud Papa as Chrissy Races NCTS Race Friday
Mike Wallace will spot for his daughter, Chrissy, in her second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on Friday night. She’ll drive again for Germain Racing in the no. 03 Germain Toyota TUNDRA. Wallace spotted for his daughter in her NCTS debut earlier this season at Martinsville – the track where Mike Wallace also made his NASCAR career debut.
2. Wallace Won at The Milwaukee Mile
Wallace, a Midwestern short-track racer before his NASCAR career, won at The Milwaukee Mile in 1994, driving for Barry Owen. He has led six laps at The Mile in each of his last two NNS races.
3. Last Race: Kentucky Speedway
Wallace started 16th and brought the GEICO Camry home 3rd at Kentucky Speedway last Saturday night. The finish marks the best finish for Wallace since 2005 when he was runner up at Gateway. The Germain Racing GEICO Camry team has collected three top-ten finishes in the last three races.
4. Wallace Racing Great in 2008
Wallace’s 2008 season is turning out very strong statistics. Wallace is 8th in NNS points and has an average finish position of 14.2 after 16 races. Wallace, at age 49, is on track to have the best season of his NNS career. His best average finish position came in the 1995 season with a 15.2 – he ran 19 of 26 races that year.
